Few Steps From Home Animal Rescue was formed to help unwanted and abused animals mainly cats and dogs get the medical attention that they need and find them responsible homes that they are able to remain in.
We are located in Bay City, Michigan, but we do serve all of Michigan.

FREE TO GOOD HOME! THINK TWICE
Unfortunately, "free" is too often seen as "worthless" in the eye of the beholder. This is how some people see your give-away pet:
FREE bait to train fighting dogs and greyhounds.
FREE snake food.
FREE sacrifice for satanic rituals.
FREE animal for malicious pranks.
FREE to a good home to breed indiscriminately
FREE fish bait
FREE money from the research lab
FREE animal to set on fire
FREE animal to do bad things to.
PLEASE don't offer your companions FREE to a good home unless you just don't care what happens to them.
Volunteers who work endless hours to save pets from the horror of abuse and homelessness bring this message to you.
BEWARE "RESCUE" GROUPS MAY BE CLOSER THEN YOU THINK! RIGHT IN YOUR HOMETOWN EVEN! THEY MAY POST ANIMALS FOR FREE IN THE NEWSPAPER! THIS IS DANGEROUS AND UNETHICAL. BEWARE AND REPORT TO THE APPROPRIATE PEOPLE IF YOU COME ACROSS RESCUES THAT DO THIS.

SPECIAL NOTE:
Few Steps From home is "rescue friendly". We will work with other rescues to help the animals. If a pure bred dog comes into our system, we will happily accept help from pure bred rescues since they specialize in that breed. This will leave us open to help the mixed breeds.
Remember, if rescues will all work together, we can help so many more.

basic training of the dogs and free after care basic training if needed by a professional trainer

A journal provided by the foster of the dogs progress while in foster care

flea treatments

veterinarian care for any other issues the cat may have
URGENT! HELP IS NEEDED!
We are in desperate need of donations at this time. We have a Pit Bull named Kaydince that has a luxating patella in both knees on her back legs and needs surgery to repair them. She is a wonderful girl that deserves a chance. She is in severe pain and needs to have her surgery done as soon as possible.
